When searching for images, keep in mind that most of the images you will find in a standard Google Image search are going to be under copyright. This means that the creator of the image has the legal right to determine how their image is used and distributed. The main exception to this is fair use. To learn more about fair use, click here.
Both Creative Commons and Flickr are sites that allow their users to upload images and make them available for different levels of public use. If you have any questions about whether an image is okay to use, ask a librarian!
