The University Library offers 24/7 access to an extensive collection of ebooks, plus more than two million print books available through rapid delivery from partner academic libraries in Southern Nevada.
Read below to learn how to search for books and how to request print books.
The easiest way to find books is with Library Search. You can access Library Search directly or use the search box at the top of the library website (see image below).
After searching, you can limit to books by going to the Filter My Results menu and selecting Books under Format.
If you are only interested in print books or ebooks, you can limit the the search results by hovering over the Physical Items filter. Selecting the empty check box will limit the search results to only print books. Selecting the red check box will remove all print books from the search results, limiting the search to ebooks only.
To see the full options for requesting print books, you will need to sign in using your NSHE ID and password.
Click on the title of a book to see links to ebook access options or information on how to request physical items. Physical books can be picked up at the Library Service Desk on the 2nd floor of the Rogers Student Center (RSC) building.
You must sign in to Library Search with your NSHE ID and password in order to request print books.
Once you have signed in, click the Available at statement to go straight to request options.
Click Request.
The Not Needed After and Comment fields are not required. We can usually pick up books and have them available for checkout within 1 business day. Click Request when you are ready to submit.
You will get a confirmation that your request was processed.
You can also view your outstanding requests by clicking on your name in the upper right hand corner of the Library Search and then selecting My Requests.
You will receive an email when your book request is ready for pickup.
