Books: Print Books

This guide is intended as an overview for accessing books from the Nevada State College library.

Print Books at Nevada State

While the University Library is the first digital library in the state with around half a million ebooks, we do also have a collection of about 15,000 print books in off-site storage that are available by request.

On the page below you will learn how to find and request print books owned by Nevada State.

Find Print Books

You can search for print books from the search box on the library homepage or access the library search directly here.

Limit your search to Physical Copies in order to see only print books or DVDs.

Titles available in print will show an availability statement next to a book icon.

Request Print Books

You must sign in to the library search tool with your NSHE ID and password in order to request print books.

Once you have signed in, click the Availability statement to go straight to request options.

Click "Request."

The Not Needed After and Comment fields are not required. We can usually pick up books and have them available for checkout within 1 business day. Click Request when you are ready to submit.

You will get a confirmation that your request was processed.

You can also view your outstanding requests by clicking on your name in the upper left hand corner of the library search and My Requests.

You will receive an email when your book request is ready for pickup.
